Dr. Bhupinder Johar, DVM has been practicing veterinary medicine in Maple Ridge for over 20 years. He has raised his family here and built Haney Animal Hospital as both a clinical practice and a lasting contribution to the community he calls home. His approach to veterinary care is grounded in respect for each pet as an individual, clear and honest communication with pet owners, and a commitment to making quality care accessible regardless of budget. Haney Animal Hospital was founded on the belief that every dog and cat deserves quality veterinary care, and that cost should not be the reason a pet goes without it. We offer low-cost vaccinations so that no pet in Maple Ridge is left unprotected against preventable diseases. We provide affordable spay and neuter services to support responsible pet ownership and reduce the number of unwanted animals in the community. At Haney Animal Hospital, affordable care and quality care are not in conflict. We work every day to demonstrate that a pet owner should never have to choose between the two.
Our Facility and Equipment
Haney Animal Hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical technology to support comprehensive care for dogs and cats across Maple Ridge. Our facility includes a digital radiographic unit that produces high-resolution X-rays for rapid, accurate assessment, and a Class IV laser surgery unit that allows us to perform procedures with reduced intraoperative bleeding and improved post-operative comfort for our patients. These investments of over $100,000 in equipment reflect our commitment to offering Maple Ridge pet owners a standard of care that does not require traveling to a larger urban centre. Our goal is to have everything your dog or cat needs available in one place, close to home.
Community Involvement
Dr. Johar has been an active and contributing member of the Maple Ridge community for more than 20 years, as a business owner, an employer, and a community supporter. Haney Animal Hospital supports the local SPCA, Katie’s Place animal rescue, and the Ridge Meadows South Asian Cultural Society. We believe a veterinary clinic has a responsibility that extends beyond the exam room, and we are proud to give back to the community that has supported us for more than two decades.
Open Seven Days a Week in Maple Ridge
We are open seven days a week to serve dogs and cats across Maple Ridge and the surrounding communities of Pitt Meadows, Mission, and beyond. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We are closed on statutory holidays.
